Mission Statement
The Juniata Elementary PTO mission is to promote open and positive communications and understanding between parents and Juniata Elementary School (JES) while supporting efforts to enhance the educational and social experience for JES students. We sponsor various educational experiences for all our students. Examples include (but are not limited to): assemblies, field trips, field day, fall fest, book fairs, school supplies, teacher appreciation, ect.
Any parent / guardian / appointed adult of a child enrolled at JES is eligible to become a volunteer member of the organization for the duration of the school year. This membership will be current as long as a child is enrolled at JES and the volunteer remains in compliance with the program guidelines. Membership ends when the adult no longer has children enrolled or if the volunteer is determined to be out of compliance with the program guidelines.
While our organization exists to benefit the school, we are legally a separate entity from the school and are classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
